I’m Evan (Evandro Cavalcante Santos). Senior front-end / full-stack engineer with over 10 years of experience, based in Brooklyn.

Born in Santos, raised on the east side of São Paulo, passed through Katowice in Poland. Portuguese is native, English is fluent.

By day: shipping product, arguing about architecture, trying to leave codebases better than I found them. I’ve built GenAI tools at Cox, financial dashboards at Broadridge, Next.js SSR at Philip Morris, and a11y-first UIs at Acoustic. The through-line: React, TypeScript, Node, and a stubborn belief that good tooling beats heroic effort.

Spec-driven development and AI agents as collaborators — not autocomplete. The discipline of writing the spec before touching the code, then using agents to execute it.

Outside of work

Lifelong emo/punk kid. Sim racing. Guitar tone. Letterboxd over Trakt, always.
